The true interpretation of “I’m my own master now”

28.04.2022   The true interpretation of “I’m my own master now” “I’m my own master now” was released by Jamie Christopherson in 2013 and has been loved by his fans and still is to this day. The reason we love the song is because of the fantastic lyrics that have such deep meaning and today I’ll be going over why that is.   [Intro ] “Born  Into a pack There's no choice But take orders to attack”   These lyrics seem to allude to the societal structure of gangs, as the people who get born into gangs or join them often have no choice but to stay in the gang or else, they’ll die. By using the word pack instead of gangs, it has a metaphoric meaning in that it emphasizes how savage such groups can be as packs are often used to describe animal packs. There are around 20,000 gangs today in America, which have around 1 million members and to me, that is just disgusting and depressing. This metaphor is one of my favorites in the entire song as it perfectly describes how I feel,...

How does “The only thing I know for real” describe Jetstream Sam’s mental state?

Bilde
21.04.2022   “The only thing I know for real” was made by Jamie Christopherson and was released in 2013 in conjunction with the game “Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance”. In my own personal opinion, the song is made to convey the motive behind Sam’s actions and how his mental state affects his thoughts and actions.   Jetstream Sam can be compared to a samurai like character as he wields a katana, and he goes around looking for fights to test his own skill. He works for the “World Marshall” which is a government driven corporation that uses war to gain power and money. His reasons to fight are never elaborated upon fully but can be found through analyzing the song “The only thing I know for real” [Verse 1] Memories broken,       the truth goes unspoken, I’ve even forgotten my name. I don’t know the season Or what is the reason Standing here holding my blade   To me, these lyrics show how the name Jetstream Sam is just a way he expresses his pers...

What is Jamie trying to convey with his song “The stains of time”?

5/1/2022   “The stains of time” was released by Jamie Christopherson in 2013 in conjunction with a lot of other beloved songs which I have analyzed such as “I’m my own master now” and “The only thing I know for real”. The song in my opinion is used to convey the feeling of regret and how some scars never fade.   [Intro] Wash away the anger   The intro gives us the feeling that the anger is something that has a strong importance and needs to be removed.   [Verse 1] Here I stand beneath the warm and soothing rain The droplets falling gently down on the terrain Wash away the sorrow, all the stains of time But there’s no memory, it’s only dry inside   Just after the first few lines I can already see a lot of emotion being conveyed such as the “washing” or removal of anger and regret by trying to forget. This makes me inclined to believe this song is trying to tell the story of some hapless individual who has done things that are u...
